The Head Sanctuary is for anyone who needs a little space to switch off. 🤎

Our experiences are designed for both men and women and are completely personalised around your individual comfort and preferences. You don’t need to be a “spa person”, love massage or even know which sensory experiences you’ll enjoy.

Whether you have a busy mind, love ASMR-style sensations, struggle to properly relax or simply want some uninterrupted time where nothing is expected of you, your Sanctuary is yours.

Your Sanctuary is completely personalised to you. Before your appointment, you’ll choose your preferred sensory experiences, atmosphere and little details that help you feel most comfortable.

When you arrive, we’ll get you settled before your chosen experience begins. There’s no pressure to talk, and you can change your mind about anything at any point. This is your time to switch off, exactly as you are.

Not at all. The Head Sanctuary is a silent-by-default experience, so there’s absolutely no expectation to make conversation.

Once you’re comfortable, you’re free to close your eyes, switch off and enjoy your Sanctuary. If you’d like to chat, you’re more than welcome to, but the choice is completely yours. 🤎

Only if you want it to. Some experiences, such as our Head Spa Ritual, involve cleansing the hair and scalp, while many of our sensory experiences can be enjoyed completely dry.

You’ll choose your preferences before your appointment, so your Sanctuary can be created around whether you’d like a hair wash or prefer to keep your hair dry. 🤎

You’ll be able to choose your preferences before your appointment, from experiences such as immersive hair play, sensory scalp rituals, head spa, gentle touch and other relaxation rituals.

You don’t need to plan the perfect combination. Choose what sounds good to you and we’ll use your preferences to create an experience that flows naturally throughout your Sanctuary.

Absolutely. Your preferences are there to guide your experience, not restrict it.

If something isn’t quite right, you’d like more or less pressure, want to move onto something different, change position or simply decide you’ve had enough of a particular sensation, just let us know.

Your comfort always comes first, and your Sanctuary can adapt as you go. 🤎

Yes, but your experience may need to be adapted. Hair extensions can limit access to certain areas of the scalp, so some techniques may not be possible without risking movement or loosening of the extensions.

We’ll always take reasonable care around bonds, tapes, rings, wefts or other attachment methods, but we cannot guarantee that extensions won’t move or loosen during hair and scalp treatments.

You’ll be asked about extensions before your appointment so we can tailor your Sanctuary appropriately. 🤎

Whatever you feel most comfortable in. 🤎 

We recommend soft, relaxed clothing so you can fully switch off during your experience.

For water-based treatments and rituals involving the neck, shoulders, décolletage or back, soft towel wraps will be available for your comfort and to help keep your clothing dry. 

You’ll always be appropriately covered and given privacy where needed.

There’s no need to dress up for us. Come exactly as you are.

Yes, if you’d prefer🤎 

If your experience includes our water-based Head Spa, your hair will be gently dried before you leave, with particular attention paid to ensuring the scalp and roots aren’t left damp.

This isn’t intended to be a salon-style blow-dry or finished hairstyle. Our focus is keeping you comfortable and caring for your hair and scalp while maintaining that relaxed Sanctuary feeling.

We’ll ask about your hair type and texture before your appointment so we can prepare appropriately and adapt how your hair is handled and dried.

Yes, in most cases your Sanctuary can be adapted to keep you comfortable during pregnancy.

We’ll ask about pregnancy on your Health & Wellbeing form before your appointment so we can consider positioning, products, scents and the experiences you’ve chosen.

As pregnancy is individual, some elements may need to be adapted or avoided, and if there’s anything we’re unsure about, we may ask you to check with your midwife or healthcare professional before treatment.

This includes allergies, sensitivities and scalp or skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, irritation or broken skin.

Where appropriate, we can adapt the products and techniques used during your Sanctuary. In some circumstances, certain elements may need to be avoided or your appointment postponed until your skin or scalp has settled.

Your comfort and safety will always come before completing a particular ritual.

Absolutely. 

You are always in control of your Sanctuary experience.

You can choose which rituals you’d like included and let us know about any areas you would prefer not to be touched. You can also change your mind at any point during your appointment.

There is never any expectation to include a particular treatment or area simply because it is available. 

Your boundaries and comfort will always be respected.

We understand that plans sometimes change. 🤎 

If you need to move or cancel your appointment, we simply ask that you give us as much notice as possible.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee, and missed appointments may be charged in full.

Any deposit or booking terms will be clearly shown to you before you confirm your appointment.
